A Guardian Angel
Flew down from above
to teach me a lesson
about the power of love
She whispered to me
then took hold of my hand
There are so many things for you need to understand
About the powers of love
and all it can do
to someone who needs to share it with you

Can make someones life a much brighter place
It doesn't take much,
To show someone you care,
To give them the love,
Angels gave you to share.
  
So please keep in mind,
All the powers you possess,
To grace someone's life,
When they're in distress.
You've been put on this earth
To bestow the powers of love,
And with those final words,
She disappeared up above.
 
When Angels sense you need them,
And Angels always do.
They come, unseen, from everywhere
To help and comfort you.
They hover close beside you
Till all your cares are gone,
Till they can see you're ready
Once again to carry on.
Then some of them may fly away
And take their gentle touch,
To other hearts that need
The love of Angels very much.
But one, at least, stays with you
As your constant friend and guide,
For GUARDIAN ANGELS never leave,
They're always at your side.

She watches over you day and night

Keeping you safe from danger
And nurturing your soul.
She'll be there through your triumphs

disappointments and fears,
Standing faithfully by your side.
In her lifetime this angel was strong and true,
And stood up for what was right.
In your life you'll be faced with decisions and trials
And she'll shine down her guiding light.
Life holds so much in store for you,
So remember as you grow older,
There are no heights you cannot reach

I DREAMT
Thanks to a beautiful angel
I dreamt about last night,
We had a nice long talk you see
and she set my head on right.
She made me finally realize
happiness begins with ME,
I'm the one who must decide
who I really want to be.
Happiness is in my soul
and I've got to do my part
The joy in life I'm looking for
lives within' my own true heart.

Wings of an angel.
through my tears i see
an unadorned hand reaching out
through the pain i feel
the soft touch of a feather
then i hear in the soft whisp of a whisper
a voice as i have never heard before
"cry not............i am here,
I have always been here
and forever will be here"
I reach out and find nothing yet i feel
the comfort of being wrapped in warmth
i feel the soft touch of a feather and i know
i am wrapped in the wings of an angel.

The Darkness
If only it were so simple,
to cruise through life smelling roses;
but the obstacles blacken the countryside,
and we unwittingly crush them beneath our boots.
Dreams sustain us through the madness;
goals give a finish line to our race.
Yet they change with every turn, around every wall,
and remain elusive throughout the quest.
Mistakes are made, and regrets are our luggage;
we will drag them with us to slow us down.
The victories are flashes of light, sudden and unlasting, which allow us
to glimpse the road ahead before darkness descends.
Love is bitter, yet it is the bread that keeps us.
Over and over it fills us up, only to starve us.
The people whom we love shape our destinies and our strengths,
yet leave us cold and alone in the darkness.
There are others trying to race to the end;
occasionally, we bump into one or two.
The bonds we form help us down the path less lonely
but eventually, we lose each other in the darkness.
Alone is not a bad way to be;
it clears your head and focuses you on the journey.
Cherish the short intervals during the quest you have with others,
but be prepared to walk alone in the darkness.

In Times Of
My soul drifts aimlessly in times of hopelessness.
It searches tirelessly for meaning and truth ...
Yet finds no direction.
My heart bleeds quietly in times of loneliness.
It yearns to find warmth and happiness ...
Yet it somehow eludes me.
My eyes seek out visions in times of want.
They gaze endlessly through the blackness that envelops them ...
Yet they cannot see the light.
My ears listen earnestly in times of silence.
They search for familiar sounds to comfort and console ...
Yet they cannot penetrate the darkness that surrounds me.
My arms reach out frantically in times of despair.
They seek strength and compassion to enfold me ...
Yet they find nothing substantial to enwrap.
My mind cries out desperately in times of solitude.
It poses intense questions that demand answers ...
Yet there are none to be found.

Despair
If only the world could see what I feel
then, would the world, know who I am
I've loved, lost and feared the world
for it is sometimes too much to bare
Control, power, is what I fear
for I am weak inside and full of pain
I shout and cry, but knowing
there is nobody there to hear me
I swallow the shame and anger
that lies beneath me
I am lost to reality and living in time
Though I am struggling through life
and all that it offers, I am only human
and that is what makes me . . . Me.
Still, I wish for the happiness and pleasure
that I have earned, but realize that, I have
not yet overcome the world's greatest challenge
Love! and how to accept it -
I am ready to face my fears
SOMETIMES...
I'd wake up in the morning, feeling so depressed,
I wouldn't bother getting up or bother getting dressed.
A list of all my failures kept running through my head,
All the stupid things I'd done and ignorant things I'd said.
I was feeling worthless and hated who I was,
I'd cry for no good reason, and felt so much unloved.
The sadness and the hopelessness chased me everyday,
Friends and family couldn't help and finally stayed away.
THEN...
one day I woke to find, this creature on my bed,
It scared me half to death at first until the ANGEL said
"Don't be so HARD on yourself, you're only human you know.
Everybody makes mistakes, you've got to let those memories GO."
"In fact you've made some BIG mistakes, as this little angel knows
But the kinder things you do today, make up for all of THOSE!
You must come to realize, that what is done is DONE,
You're a better person now, you've turned your life around!"
"HEY
get outta bed and LIVE again, put on a great big smile,
Get yourself dressed, and feet a movin', life is so worthwhile!
Put some make-up on that face and fiddle with your hair.
The world's waitin' for ANGELS like you, show someone YOU care!"
I often think it was a dream (the angel is long gone)
Dreamed out of desperation, to ease guilt I'd felt so long
Dream or not, one things clear, I thank the Angel above.
For letting me know my life's worthwhile and I am truly loved! ..

Angel on earth
When i have no one to turn to
am i feeling kind of low
when there is no one to talk to
and nowhere to go
i search deep within myself
it is the love inside my heart
that lets me know my angels are there
even though we are miles apart
a smile then appears upon my face
and the sun begins to shine
i hear a voice , so soft and sweet
saying "everything will be just fine"
it may seem that i am alone
but i am never by myself at all
whenever i need my angels near
all i have to do is call
an angels love is always true
on that u can depend
they will always stand behind u
and will always be ur friend
through the darkest hours and brightest days

when we are happy, and will cry when we are blue
